Getting Here

The Gallery is an easy eight minute walk from Wellington Railway Station, or a four minute walk from bus stops on Lambton Quay. 

Parking

There is limited on-street parking at meters on Customhouse Quay, and a Wilson Parking facility under the TSB Arena, accessible off Jervois Quay.

One mobility park are located at the south end of our building Shed 11.   

Tips for Visiting

Small bags may be taken into the gallery. There are coat hooks by the front entrance. As we do not have a checked luggage facility, please leave backpacks and large bags at home. 

Sketching and writing is encouraged in the galleries with pencils and other dry media only. Please use small sketchbooks. There are art tables with other art materials located in the Gallery during some exhibitions. 

Still photography is permitted for personal, non-commercial use only, unless otherwise noted. Video is not permitted. Flash, tripods, and camera extension poles are not allowed. 

There are numerous excellent cafes and restaurants just next door for a refreshment break.
