Authors of Aotearoa: a panel discussion featuring Chris Tse, Rangimarie Sophie Jolley, and Trinity Thompson-Browne.

  • New Zealand Portrait Gallery Te Pūkenga Whakaata Shed 11, 60 Lady Elizabeth Lane Wellington New Zealand (map)

Join three Pōneke based poets in a discussion about aesthetics and authorship.

Chris Tse, Rangimarie Sophie Jolley, and Trinity Thompson-Browne will explore the role that their personal aesthetics play in their writing. Each will offer their own unique insight into the often-blurred line between author and artist while considering how we curate our own images online.

Chris Tse, New Zealand Poet Laureate, has received critical acclaim for his poetry collections including Super Model Minority (2022) and HE’S SO MASC (2018).

Rangimarie Sophie Jolley (Waikato-Tainui) is a culture writer for the Dominion Post, who also shares her prose and poetry online and in print.

Trinity Thompson-Browne (Kahungunu/Muaūpoko) is a poet and photographer who utilises both artforms to create work with Māori and takatāpui at the centre.

This is a free event, everyone is welcome.
