Chinese Footprints: Walking Tour of Wellington's Chinese History

Chinese footprints, led by oral historian Lynette Shum and historian Nigel Murphy, will take attendees on a walking tour that traces Chinese histories through Te Aro, central Wellington. The rich history of the Chinese in Wellington has largely been erased, but the stories remain. This 2-hour walking tour, starting with a potted history, highlights sites of significance for Wellington's Chinese community including businesses, eateries and Haining Street's 'Chinatown'. The tour will conclude with a pot of Chinese tea.

The tour starts at the Poon Fah rooms at 150 Vivian Street. Tickets are available through eventfinda here.
