Expand your classroom to the New Zealand Portrait Gallery Te Pūkenga Whakaata. Visit the Gallery during public hours and lead a lesson for your school or university students.
The Gallery can accommodate one group of up to 25 students at a time.
Gallery staff are available to provide a booked introductory talk to the exhibitions and to provide art materials for your students to undertake self-guided learning.
Our Gallery Educator is also available to provide a pre-booked program which will focus on students’ ability to engage with the works on the walls, and then be creative themselves! Primary, Intermediate, High School, Tertiary and ESOL groups all welcome.
Please use the booking enquiry form below if you would like to bring your class in for a visit.
